In line with the National Privacy Principles, patient information collected by William Angliss Institute Medical Centre is accessible only by medical practitioners and will not be released to third parties without the consent of the patient.
We offer a bulk–billing service to children under 16 years, Concession Card Holders, Pensioners and to all William Angliss Institute students.
International students with a valid Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) can also use our services.
A practice fee may apply for all other patients or for consultations not eligible for a Medicare rebate. All accounts need to be settled at the time of consultation and payment can be made by cash, credit or EFTPOS card.
In accordance with best practice, William Angliss Institute Medical Centre recommends that if your doctor sends you for any investigations, it is your responsibility to make a follow up appointment to discuss the results.
To protect your confidentiality and to maintain your highest quality care, results will not be given out over the phone. If you wish to discuss your results, even if they are normal, you will be asked to make an appointment for follow up of your test results. This is to ensure your optimal medical care, and offer clarification or advice.
Please note that if your test results indicate a need for urgent review, you will be contacted by your doctor or William Angliss Institute Medical Centre staff as soon as the result is viewed. However, it is essential that you exercise your responsibility to return for review of the results.
